Today, Dr. Neal Dunn announces his re-election campaign for Florida’s 2nd Congressional District. As an Army Veteran, surgeon, businessman, and family man, Congressman Dunn has stayed true to his conservative values and always puts his constituents first.

“My wife and I prayed a lot about this decision. What it ultimately came down to is our grandkids. I look at them and ask what kind of country, and world, do we want to leave for them? Right now, the future looks dicey. Russia is on the march. China is on the march, & we are over $33 trillion in debt, spending money foolishly, and our elite institutions are increasingly hostile to our traditional values.

Dunn continued, “Unlike many in Washington, I am not a career politician. I had a successful career in the Army and private sector. The reason I’m running is to ensure we have strong, no nonsense conservative leaders in Congress who won't back down to the Chinese Communist Party, Joe Biden, and the radical left. I’ve proven that I can both stand strong against socialist agendas in Congress and deliver results for Northwest Florida.”

Being a Veteran and raising their family in Northwest Florida, Congressman Dunn and his wife, Leah, believe strongly in the motto “Duty, Honor, Country.” They believe that “America is the shining city on the hill,” and that everyone - no matter their circumstances - deserves a shot at the American Dream.

Throughout his tenure in the U.S. House, Congressman Dunn has been proud to receive top ratings, awards, and endorsements for his commitment to conservative values. Since being elected, he has voted 100% pro-life, defended religious liberty, has never wavered on protecting law-abiding citizens 2nd Amendment rights, and has voted to strengthen parental rights.

Additionally, Congressman Dunn has played an instrumental role in securing billions in Hurricane Michael disaster funding and passing legislation to boost local economies throughout Florida’s Second Congressional District. This includes securing commitments from leaders at all levels of government to rebuild Tyndall Air Force Base and bring three full Squadrons of the F-35 Lightning II to the area. Congressman Dunn is currently focused on securing disaster funding and economic opportunities for the communities impacted by Hurricane Idalia.

“It’s a tough time in America, but I believe even in times like these, there is a light that shines through to the strong. We saw that light after Hurricane Michael & we seized it!  When Hurricane Michael hit, our communities were devastated. But in the days, weeks, months, and years after, we came together and worked as friends and neighbors to help rebuild. We can do the same for the victims of Hurricane Idalia! I worked hard to secure millions in recovery funding and my team spent long days to be there for our district in a time of need. We found new businesses to fill in where the old businesses faltered. We will do so again! In darkness there was still light for Florida’s Panhandle, and I believe that’s true for America, too.”
